Field Uplift / Negative Pressure Test
Atlas Anchor is a professional in both variations of this type of field uplift/negative pressure test. Although both tests are very similar, they do have some critical differences. The main difference in two are the passing criteria. The ASTM E907-04 allows 25mm/around 1” inch of deflection during the negative pressure test whereas the FM 1-52 test allows from ¼” to 15/16” of an inch of deflection depending on the maximum test pressure. In certain roofing installations the test method allows for up to 2” in deflection.
