Description
We were hired by the mechanical contractor do pull testing on their post installed anchors for their application. The contractor had to do the testing to be in compliance with the NYC Department of Buildings bulletin 2016-005. This building is a NYC Landmarked buildings that dates back 1911. The concrete deck in this building is primarily cinder-crete and ash-crete and has very weak compressive strength for structural applications. Pull testing is important whenever using this type of concrete because of its inconsistent nature.
