Description
We were hired by the general contractor do pull testing on Dewalt screw bolts that were going to support a temporary work platform. The temporary work platform was being installed on one of the digesters that need the top 36” of concrete demolished and repoured. The existing concrete on the digester was in poor condition and was over 60 years old. This concerned the safety team on the project because they did not know if the concrete could support the load needed from the anchors for the work platform. The pull testing proved that the concrete and anchors could support the load required. The testing was done in accordance with ASTM E488.
